University Technology is a pan-Scottish university initiative to showcase new technology opportunities from Scotland’s academic research base.
The initiative builds on Scotland’s worldwide reputation for the commercialisation of new technologies and enables companies and investors from business & industry to find the best new technologies and the most exciting technology transfer opportunities that Scotland has to offer. However, instead of having to trawl through each university's website to find a commercial opportunity that matches your interests, UT offers access to the latest technology opportunities from Scotland's universities in one convenient location.
With the ambition to promote the available research and academic outputs as widely as possible we were keen to offer as many different ways to share the UT sites core information. In addition to RSS and email alerts to subscribed members we also introduced a shareable widget to ensure that utilising the content of the UT website is as simple as possible for web masters. The UT customisable widget is available on the University Technology site and with just a few clicks allows the user to display the latest technology offers of interest on their own site. The result can be seen on the right.
Working with multiple interested parties on any project is challenging but this is something that we are experienced in and appreciate that balancing the various interests is key to a successful project.
